A review of the services provided in the old age home
Daljit Kaur (Sangrur) February 23, 2024: As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Jatinder Jorwal, Civil Surgeon Dr. Kirpal Singh visited Birdh Ashram Sangrur. During this visit, he inspected the food being served in the ashram, interacted with the elders living in the ashram and learned about the health problems faced by them. The staff was asked on the spot to ensure that drinking water testing and medical check-up of food preparation workers are done from time to time. On this occasion, he said that the Punjab government is committed to the good health care of the elderly. Giving information, he said that the National Program for Health Care of Elderly is being run by the Health Department, under which separate OPDs are provided to the elderly at district hospitals. Queue, Lab Tests, Medicines ECG Xray Physiotherapy, Reserved Beds, Free Health Services are provided.Dr. Kirpal Singh, while making the elderly aware, said that to stay healthy, they should do regular exercise, get regular health check-ups and take care of their personal hygiene.
