The Indian Council of Scotland have today announced that they have secured and are providing temporary accommodation in Glasgow for up to 100 persons for (up to 1 month and if needed will be extended) those who are stranded in particular to the students and those in emergency need.
“This accomodation will consist of us providing a large open unit in which seperate toilet facilities/kitchen and sleeping bags will be provided. Woman and children will sleep separate and men separate in the next door unit. Food will be also provided daily to the students/persons of all faiths and cultures.”, they said.

Neil LaL, Chairman and President of The Indian Council of Scotland has said, “we must help those in need and at this moment in time. Students from foreign countries such as India and Pakistan or any other country are struggling as they receive no state and health benefits. We must do all we can to help and support the most vulnerable and are struggling.”
Rajdeep Sarkar of The Indian Council of Scotland has stated that “We are following government guidelines and sleeping arrangements will be made with gaps between individuals”.
